At Home Garden is a directory of resources to help in the celebration of the home arts.  Our main areas of focus are:  home gardening, cooking, decorating, and seasonal themes.  This month we’re highlighting Christmas and the holiday season and encouraging all of us to enjoy the season even more by practicing our favorite home arts.

Next month we will look at what our homes say about us. Why is it that, even with our increasingly busy lives, we still make time for puttering in the garden or making bread from scratch?  What kind of satisfaction is it that drives us to wax hardwood floors when we could be playing golf?  What is it about colorful, coordinated fine cotton bedding that makes us feel so good about getting tired and crawling into bed?  Essayist Erin O’Neil will present a humorous look at the demands we place on ourselves in our pursuit of the home arts.
